Funds from SALES through Mayawool coop assist scholarships. If you would like to help a student directly, you may make a contribution marked Scholarship Fund.
Scholarships are for gifted Maya students, above the primary school level, who qualify for help by their need, selected by their teachers, and agreement of their families to allow the students the time to study, sometimes regarded as a great economic sacrifice for a family. Students receive dental and health assistance as needed.
Write ‘Scholarship’ or ‘Beca Escoloral’ in bottom corner of check, and ‘non-negotiable’ in left lower corner. Pre-arranged checks may also be made directly to the schools. We are sorry, a gift at this time is not 501-C3 tax deductable.
